Activities

Lovina is very famous for its dolphins and for the long black lava-sand Beach. Here is also a wide selection of restaurants, spa´s and shops. All this without beeing over-exploited like so many other places. Dolphintrips in the morning and snorkling is a must when you are in Lovina. Diving is big on Bali and there is many fine divecenters. Lovina reef is just a few steps outside the front door and world famuos dive sites like Tulamben with its sunken world war two american ship, and Menjangan national park is all within little over one hour by car. Both these places is regarded amoungst the best divesites in the world. At Pemuteran is a coral growing project powered by low volt electricity to make them grove faster. Interesting to swim and snorkel here. Swim with dolphins in the pool at nearby hotel Melka.



People

Meet the friendly Balinese people. They always greet you whit a smile and have time for a nice conversation.

The nearest golfcourse is only one hour away.

Fishing

Join the local fishermen and try your luck. Sometimes they catch big Sailfishes at 2,5 meters in length. Tuna and Mahi mahi is also common here as well as a lot of other species, some of them really big.

Canoeing

Rent a Canoe at the neighburing place and paddle around the Lovina reef.

Rent motorbike or bicycle

It´s a marvellous experience to drive around in the fantastic nature in the mountains of north Bali. Follow some of the many small roads looking at giant trees, ricepaddies and steep mountainsides all dressed in incredible green trees and plants. People in the small villages love to smile and say hello to you. This is a kind of entertainment that you don´t get bored with.

Horseriding

Horseriding is arranged by Pegasus farm some kilometers up the mountain. Take a ride in the lush tropical nature with the ocean in the background.

Waterfalls

Well known Git-Git waterfall and the slightly smaller Sing-Sing waterfall is indeed very beautiful. But the most marvellous is Sekumpul waterfall, also known as "the secret waterfall" as well as "The six waterfalls". This is one of the most fantastic sights in the entire Bali. Located in unexploited dramatic tropical nature, it offers you a nice walk through the rainforest to get there. Take a refresching cool swim in the natural pool under the waterfall.

Banjar Hot Springs

Relax in the natural, volcanic hot water in the ornamented pools in this historical place. Each pool have different temperatures. Its all in a beautiful setting amidst exotic plants.

Air Sanih Cold Springs

Even here is beautiful pools. Here whith crystal clear cool mountain water. Fine location on the beach close to Singaraja.

The nearest town to Lovina. You can find markets and shops.

Trekking

Walk around the lakes in the crater or climb a volcano. You find this in northern Bali.
